Our Story

At Kings Church St. Stephen, we are a community wholeheartedly in love with God, and we believe that love changes everything. From the very center of who we are, our desire is simple: to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to see that love overflow into every corner of our lives and our community.

We are a people of prayer. We believe prayer is not a last resort; it’s where the power of God begins. Before we strategize, before we plan, we pray, because we know that everything meaningful starts on our knees before Him.

Love is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to loving one another deeply, walking alongside each other in real fellowship, and extending Christ’s love to our neighbours and to the world around us, just as He first loved us. This isn’t love in word only; it’s love that shows up practically, that welcomes the lost with open arms, and that meets people exactly where they are with grace and acceptance.

Everything we believe and everything we do is built on the unshakable foundation of God’s Word. It is our anchor, our guide, and our source of truth in a shifting world.

We are passionate about unity within our own church family and across the wider Body of Christ. We believe that when His Church walks in unity, the world sees a glimpse of Jesus Himself.

And we are a community that cares for those in need, for those who are hurting, for those who simply need someone to walk with them. We believe the church is meant to be family, and family shows up for each other.

Above all things, our hope is that in everything we do — our worship, our prayer, our love for one another, our service to our community — Jesus is lifted high. He is the reason we exist, and it is our joy to make Him known here in St. Stephen and throughout Charlotte County.
